VocalRangeCalculator.com respects your privacy and aims to explain clearly how information is handled when you browse the website, use our vocal tools, grant microphone access, save tool results, or contact us.

Our current setup uses limited tracking. Google Analytics, Google AdSense, other advertising platforms, and affiliate tracking are not currently active. However, normal website operation and certain tools may still involve technical data, browser storage, email correspondence, microphone input, and, for some features, temporary audio uploads.

Information We May Process

The information involved depends on how you use VocalRangeCalculator.com.

Browser-Local Tool Data

Some tools use browser localStorage to save information such as:

  • recent results
  • tool settings
  • preferences
  • values used to restore your previous choices

This information may remain only within the browser profile on your device unless a particular feature explicitly transmits it elsewhere.

Browser-local storage is not the same as a user account or server-side profile.

Microphone and Audio Data

Some tools require microphone access to analyze your voice.

Our microphone tools do not all use the same processing method.

Depending on the feature:

  • audio may be processed locally in your browser, or
  • audio may be recorded and uploaded to our server temporarily as part of the tool’s operation

We do not currently use an external third-party audio-analysis API.

Where audio is uploaded to our own server for processing, it is retained for approximately one hour and then removed as part of the tool’s temporary processing workflow.

Technical Website and Server Data

VocalRangeCalculator.com is hosted by Hostinger.

Like most websites, normal hosting and security infrastructure may process technical information when your browser requests a page or resource. This may include:

  • error logs
  • security-related logs

This information is different from a vocal test result or microphone recording.

Microphone Access and Audio Processing

Some VocalRangeCalculator.com tools analyze audio locally on your device.

Other tools may record and upload audio to our server when temporary server-side processing is required.

For tools that upload audio, the uploaded audio is retained for approximately one hour before being removed.

We do not currently send microphone audio to an external audio-processing API.

Because tool implementation can differ, we do not make a sitewide claim that all microphone audio remains on your device.

Tool Results

Tool results may include information such as:

  • detected musical notes
  • pitch or frequency
  • vocal-range boundaries
  • semitone or octave span
  • estimated voice-type overlap
  • register-related values
  • other calculated outputs

Tool results are not currently sent to Google Analytics or another analytics service.

Some results may instead be stored locally in your browser through localStorage.

A result stored only in your browser may never be available to us on the server.

Browser Local Storage

We use localStorage for some results and preferences.

LocalStorage can persist after you close a page, depending on your browser settings.

You can generally remove locally stored information by clearing site data for VocalRangeCalculator.com.

Local data may also disappear if you:

  • clear your browser storage
  • use private or incognito browsing
  • switch browsers
  • switch devices
  • configure your browser to delete site data automatically

Because some information exists only on your device, we may not be able to access, export, change, or delete it remotely.

VocalRangeCalculator.com currently uses a limited browser-storage setup.

Advertising

VocalRangeCalculator.com does not currently use Google AdSense or another active advertising platform.

We therefore do not currently use advertising technologies for personalized or behavioral advertising on the site.

If advertising is introduced later, the relevant privacy, cookie, and consent disclosures will be reviewed and updated.

Affiliate Tracking

Affiliate tracking is not currently active.

We do not currently use affiliate-tracking technologies to associate site visitors with purchases or referrals.

If affiliate relationships or tracking technologies are introduced later, relevant disclosures will be added or updated as appropriate.

Hosting and Service Providers

Our website is hosted by Hostinger.

Hosting providers may process technical information necessary to:

  • deliver web pages
  • maintain server availability
  • detect errors
  • maintain security
  • prevent abuse

Hostinger acts separately from the browser-local storage used by some of our tools.

We may also rely on ordinary email infrastructure to send and receive correspondence when you contact us. The relevant email service providers may therefore process information necessary to deliver those messages.

Messages may also be retained where reasonably necessary for:

Audio uploaded by tools that use temporary server-side audio processing is retained for approximately one hour and then removed.

Browser-Local Results and Preferences

Information stored in localStorage may remain until:

  • you clear it
  • the tool replaces or removes it
  • your browser removes it
  • your browser settings cause it to expire or be deleted

Contact Emails

Contact correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, follow up, maintain appropriate records, or address security or legal matters.

Hosting and Security Logs

Technical logs may be retained according to normal hosting, security, and operational requirements.

We do not state a specific Hostinger log-retention period unless it has been independently verified.

Data Sharing

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or affiliate-tracking platforms to distribute vocal test results.

Information may still be processed by service providers where necessary for normal operation, such as:

  • our hosting provider
  • email infrastructure used to send or receive correspondence

Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law, valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, or the rights of others.

We do not consider ordinary service-provider processing necessary to operate a website to be the same as behavioral advertising.

Sale or Sharing for Behavioral Advertising

Based on our current site setup, we do not use Google Analytics, advertising platforms, or affiliate-tracking systems to sell or share visitor information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use that information for the function of the relevant vocal or pitch tool, not for advertising or analytics profiling.

The legal classification of voice information can vary depending on how it is used and the jurisdiction involved. A voice recording is therefore not automatically described here as biometric information in every circumstance.

Avoid providing unnecessary sensitive personal information when using the site or contacting us.

Automated Tool Outputs

Some tools automatically calculate or estimate results based on audio, pitches, notes, or other inputs.

These outputs may include estimated voice-type comparisons or other classifications.
