Information We May Process
The information involved depends on how you use VocalRangeCalculator.com.
It may include:
- Email correspondence you send to us
- Browser and device information
- IP address or IP-derived information
- Approximate geographic location
- Pages visited and website interactions
- Google Analytics 4 cookies or identifiers
- Hosting, error, and security logs
- Microphone input analysed by a voice tool in your browser (not uploaded)
- Advertising cookies and identifiers used by Journey by Mediavine and its partners
- The page address, including a result after the # sign if you open a share link
Our voice tools process audio locally within your browser. They do not record your voice or upload audio to our server, so we hold no voice recordings about you.
Our tools do not currently save results or preferences in your browser’s localStorage, and results are not sent to us. We may not receive, access, or control information that remains only within your browser.
Contact and support emails are generally retained for up to 12 months after an inquiry is resolved, unless longer retention is reasonably necessary for a legal, security, or dispute-related matter.
GDPR and UK GDPR Rights
If the European Union General Data Protection Regulation or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data, you may have the rights described below.
Right to Be Informed
You may have the right to receive clear information about what personal data is processed, why it is processed, how long it may be kept, and who may receive it.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Data Security page provide information about our current practices.
Right of Access
You may request confirmation of whether we process personal data about you and, where applicable, request access to eligible data.
We may be unable to provide information that we do not possess, including tool results stored only in your browser.
Right to Rectification
You may ask us to correct eligible personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of eligible personal data. This right is sometimes called the “right to be forgotten.”
Deletion is not absolute. Information may need to be retained when required for legal compliance, security, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Right to Restrict Processing
In certain circumstances, you may ask us to limit how eligible personal data is processed while an issue is reviewed.
Right to Data Portability
Where legally applicable and technically feasible, you may request certain personal data in a structured and commonly used format.

VocalRangeCalculator.com does not use personal information for direct email marketing. Our advertising service, Journey by Mediavine, and its partners may use cookies for personalized advertising where the law allows; you can object through the consent or privacy choices they provide and through your browser settings.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing depends on your consent, you may withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not automatically make earlier processing unlawful.
Your ability to withdraw or change a browser permission, such as microphone access, may be controlled through your browser or device settings.
Right to Complain
You may have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location. UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. EEA residents may contact the appropriate authority in their country.

These outputs are educational estimates. They are not used by VocalRangeCalculator.com to make employment, insurance, credit, medical, legal, or other decisions that produce similarly significant effects.

California Privacy Rights
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to our handling of your personal information, you may have the rights described below.
Right to Know and Access
You may request information about:
- Categories of personal information collected
- Specific eligible pieces of personal information
- Sources of that information
- Purposes for collecting or using it
- Categories of service providers or other recipients
- Categories of information sold or shared, if any
Right to Delete
You may request deletion of eligible personal information collected from you. Exceptions may apply when information is needed for security, legal compliance, internal operations, debugging, or legal claims.
Right to Correct
You may request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing
Where applicable, California residents may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
VocalRangeCalculator.com does not exchange personal information for money. The site does display ads through Journey by Mediavine, and advertising cookies set by Journey by Mediavine and its partners may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We do not use microphone audio or calculated vocal results for advertising.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure general website usage. Google Analytics processing is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
You can opt out through the privacy-choices option that Journey by Mediavine provides on the site where it is required. You may also send an applicable opt-out request to support@vocaltoollab.com.
Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information
Where this right applies, you may request limits on certain uses or disclosures of qualifying sensitive personal information.
We do not record voices, create voiceprints, authenticate identity, or identify individual visitors from audio. Audio is processed in your browser only to provide the voice tool you requested.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
The website does not currently require payment, an account, or a subscription for ordinary use.
Voice and Audio Information
Some tools require microphone input, and the note detector can also analyse an audio file you choose. In every current tool:
- Audio is processed locally within your browser; and
- Audio is not recorded or uploaded to our server.
Because audio is not uploaded, we do not retain it. We do not currently use an external third-party audio-analysis API. How the tools analyse sound is explained on our How It Works page.
We do not use microphone audio for identity verification, voiceprint recognition, advertising profiles, or significant automated decisions.

How to Submit a Privacy Request

Please include:
- Your name, if relevant
- The email address connected with your previous correspondence
- Your country, state, or applicable jurisdiction
- The right you want to exercise
- A clear description of the information or interaction involved
- Any relevant page or tool URL
Do not send a passport, government identification document, medical record, password, or other sensitive document with your initial request.
You do not need to create an account or pay a fee to submit a privacy request.

Identity Verification
We may need to verify that a request relates to you before disclosing, correcting, or deleting personal information.
Depending on the request, verification may involve:
- Asking you to contact us from the original email address
- Confirming details from earlier correspondence
- Requesting limited additional information
- Asking an authorized agent to provide evidence of authority
Any information requested for verification will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for that purpose.
We may be unable to fulfill a request if we cannot reasonably verify your identity or connect the request to information we possess.
Authorized Agents
Where applicable law permits, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.
We may ask the agent to provide signed permission or other reasonable evidence showing that the agent is authorized to act for you. We may also ask you to confirm the authorization directly.
An agent’s request may be limited or denied if appropriate authorization cannot be verified.
Response Times and Exceptions
We aim to review legitimate privacy requests as soon as reasonably practical.
Where a privacy law applies, we will respond within the period required by that law. For example, applicable GDPR requests are generally subject to a one-month response period, while eligible CCPA requests may be subject to a 45-day response period. Permitted extensions may apply when a request is complex or multiple requests are received.
We will provide notice of an extension where applicable law requires it.
A request may be limited or denied when:
- We cannot verify the requester
- We do not possess the requested information
- The information exists only in the user’s browser
- A legal obligation requires retention
- The request would affect another person’s rights
- The request is manifestly unfounded or excessive
- An applicable legal exception permits continued processing
Where required, we will explain the reason for a denial or limitation.
Browser-Local Information
Our tools do not currently use localStorage to save results or preferences within your browser.
Information that a website saves in your browser is not sent to us automatically, so we may be unable to access, export, correct, or delete it. You can generally remove it by clearing cookies and site data for VocalRangeCalculator.com through your browser settings.
Switching browsers or devices will not normally transfer locally stored results.

International Processing
VocalRangeCalculator.com may be accessed internationally. Hostinger, Google Analytics, Journey by Mediavine and its advertising partners, and email infrastructure may process information in countries outside your place of residence.
Privacy protections may differ between jurisdictions. We do not claim that all data remains in one country or that a particular transfer mechanism applies to every service without verification.
